Long & Foster® Real Estate, Inc., the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, has announced that Frank W. Dillow, an associate in its commercial division, has been appointed to serve as chairman of the Realtor Commercial Alliance (RCA) of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) for 2013.
NVAR’s RCA works to build partnerships between Realtors who engage in commercial real estate and their colleagues in the fields of commercial leasing, development and management. It also brings together developers, lenders, local governments and investors for networking sessions to discuss a variety of industry issues.
Dillow is licensed in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. He serves as an adjunct fellow for the Discovery Institute’s technology and democracy project, has a background that includes 25 years of service with Verizon Corporation where he served for more than a decade as its vice president of federal government relations. A native Oregonian, Dillow served as assistant public utility commissioner for the State of Oregon during the administrations of Govs. Tom McCall, Bob Straub and Vic Atiyeh. A former news reporter for the Oregonian in Portland, as well as other Oregon newspapers, Dillow holds a J.D. from Lewis and Clark College Law School in Portland, and is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
Dillow is a past president of the Board of Directors for the Washington Bach Consort, and serves on the Admissions Committee of the University Club of Washington, D.C. He is a resident of Arlington, Va.
